March Madness rages on...

107.7 The Bone continues the March Madness of Classic Rock this weekend, matching Pink Floyd against Led Zeppelin in the Final Four. As explained in previous news post, you know what to do!

Update: Pink Floyd gained momentum very late Sunday/Monday morning making it a close finish, but was eventually eleminated by Led Zeppelin. Ahhh screw the poll, we all know who the greatest band is! ;)

Classic rock station poll has AC/DC beating Floyd

Posted by madhack on Mar 22, 2002

Bay Area classic rock station 107.7 The Bone is running the March Madness of Classic Rock, and in the 4th round, Pink Floyd is losing to AC/DC in Division 1! Now, I have nothing against AC/DC, but come on... better than Floyd? They require registration, but I don't particularly care how fake the info you give them is. What counts is that you vote and make damn sure who wins this round (and all rounds to come)!

Technical problems

Posted by madhack on Mar 12, 2002

The Fandom had some technical problems Sunday involving a failing hard drive. Some files were lost, as many users may notice (broken images, etc.). I'm working on recovering these, but please bear with us for the time being. There may also be some downtime this weekend for a hard drive swap, and we'll try to make that as brief as possible.

Thanks for sticking with us!

New compilation album(s) for Roger

Posted by pulse on Mar 12, 2002

Sony has confirmed plans to release a compilation album of Roger Waters' solo career entitled, "Flickering Flame - The Solo Years Volume 1." Considering the title, there may be subsequent volumes to follow. Volume 1 will be released during the month of April in Australia, Japan (offers a track listing), and Europe. According to REG, the compilation is a "collectors limited edition album compiled issued and relased to support the tour," and will be removed from the Sony Music Catalog on December 1st, 2002. This explains the exclusive release only to countries visited by the 2002 tour. Plans do NOT exist for a North American release, therefore fans residing there who are interested in the compilation(s) will have to purchase the material from abroad or as an import.
